Marjorie J. Weber
Marjorie J. Weber has 50+ years of experience as a financial consultant to business owners, entrepreneurs, and real estate developers. She has assisted major commercial developers seeking financing for investments and developments, provided start-up funding for local entrepreneurs, and applied her know-how and know-who to aid in the expansion of a variety of businesses throughout South Florida. Prior to working for SBDC at FIU, she served as Chair of SCORE Miami Dade. Between 1976 and 2000, she headed up Florida Fidelity Financial Inc, a real estate investment banking firm in South Florida. Before relocating to Miami, she was an officer of a major New York mortgage banking firm, Sonnenblick-Goldman Corp.
With her deep connections and networks in the South Florida community, she has served on the boards of The Haitian American Emergency Relief Committee, United Home Care Services, The City of Miami Community Relations Board, and The Miami Beach Botanical Gardens.
She has a passion for teaching financial literacy, and in between her busy schedule, conducts educational workshops and writes articles for small business owners seeking guidelines and support to ready their entities for access to capital.
